Did some product photography in Raleigh yesterday. This was wine photography for a private collection. Wine photography is quite difficult as you have to have the right reflections on the bottles both in terms of position and brightness. I do a lot of product photography and shooting anything with reflections is always a challenge. Food and Drink photography in Raleigh are always my favorite challenges.
Whilst most of our corporate headshot work is in the Raleigh area we do go to other areas to do headshots. This time we were asked to do corporate headshots for one of our clients in their Cary office. We had previously done headshots for them in Raleigh. These headshots were to be a bit different as they weren’t just chest up and the shots needed to represent the personality for the team of Interior designers. We set up a studio-style headshot space in their offices. We offer both in studio and on location headshots, so this was no problem. We shot the designers tethered into a laptop, this way they and us could get direct feedback and make any adjustments as necessary (clothing, hair etc.). Once everyone was happy with their shots we could then move on to the next subject. Over the course of an hour we did about 100 shots featuring seven designers, and ten of each were submitted to corporate so that they could then pick which ones they wanted to use. A couple of weeks ago we had the opportunity to photograph the new PICU unit at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill. It was a really interesting shoot which took about a half day. We decided that we wanted to use models for this shoot to make the hospital loo “Real”. This is probably about the tenth project I’ve shot at UNC hospital and their people we work with over there are always really helpful. When the project is fully completed, we will go back in to finish the shoot off.
I recently did a photo shoot for the newly built Endevor school in North Raleigh / Wake Forest. This is a beautiful new school. I do a lot of building and construction photography in Raleigh Durham and surrounding areas. I have been doing architectural photography for over 20 years. This was cor the construction company who built the school and we have been working with them for nearly 10 years covering all of their construction in North Carolina. As well as finished construction I also do projects that are mid construction. Anything from Ground breaking, to topping off and completed construction photography. Recently Julie Leon, a local author approached me about doing a head shot for a book she was writing. I do headsets in RTP and surrounding areas for many different clients. Sometimes its individuals and sometimes large groups. EG next month we are shooting over 100 corporate head shots for a pharma company and we also have days planned to do individual head shots for models, actors, business start ups and realtors.
